Honolulu Board of REALTORS® Names Lurline R. Johnson REALTOR® of the Year and 10 Aloha ‘Āina REALTOR® Awards Recipients

REALTORS® recognized for significant contributions to advancement of profession, community and exceptional service to clients

HONOLULU, December 9, 2019 – The Honolulu Board of REALTORS® (HBR), the largest trade organization on O‘ahu built to advance the ethical and professional success of its members, announced today the 2019 REALTOR® ​ of the Year and 10 Aloha ‘Āina REALTOR® Awards recipients at its Winter General Membership Meeting.

“REALTORS® play a vital role in our economy, our communities and the lives of Hawai‘i residents,” said Suzanne Young, chief executive officer, The Honolulu Board of REALTORS®. “We’re proud to recognize their dedication and exceptional service to their clients with the REALTOR® of the Year and Aloha ‘Āina REALTOR® Awards.”

Lurline R. Johnson, vice president and broker-in-charge at Property Profiles, Inc. was honored as the 2019 REALTOR® of the Year. Presented annually since 1958, the REALTOR® of the Year award recognizes an extraordinary REALTOR® who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of the real estate profession, as well as to the community at large. The recipient of the coveted award is selected on the basis of REALTOR® spirit, faithfulness to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, civic activity, business accomplishments, and local, state and national REALTOR® associations participation.

The prestigious Aloha ‘Āina REALTOR® Awards recognize REALTORS® who are known for their exceptional service to their clients, and their record of fair dealings with clients while maintaining the highest ethical standards. This year, more than 1,200 nominations for these awards were submitted by clients of REALTORS® who participated in a transaction within the past year.
